Description
Made by Higo Kaneaki, this is a beautiful, wide, strong shaped sword.  This sword is magnificent, there is nothing not to like about this sword - Wide, beautiful active midare nie-deki hamon with kinsuji, ashi, and tobiyaki.  Boshi is a very nice midare with ashi as well.  Large Soshu style REAL Okissaki (3.62"!!!).  Soshu style ken and stylized dragon carving called So no Ryu on the omote with a deep bohi continuing to the boshi.  On the ura, a pair of futasuji hi (double short grooves) with Tsume.  A deep bohi follows after to the boshi as well.  In perfect Japanese professional polish, new shirasaya with a beautiful gold foiled habaki.  Note: Shirasaya is made very special with thin shavings for support.  This type of sword was obviously special ordered, please note that any type of special carving such as this sword has is very expensive, usually just for the ken and dragon, it will probably cost around $2500, not to mention the addition of the double grooves followed by the deeply well carved katana grooves.  An older blade with a real signature could cost you around 5x or more the price.  Not much else to say, the pictures speak for themselves.  If you ever wanted to have everything all in one sword, here it is!!!
